Update from Abby: We made it! After a two hour flight to Miami, a six hour layover, and a four hour flight to Quito, we met with David Meyer and others from the Cayambe church who were nice enough to drive us to Cayambe. Then, we went to the Summer Solstice festival where we enjoyed an exciting fireworks show unlike anything we've ever seen before- there was a decorative rotating tower of fireworks! We then went back to our comfy cabins.
This morning we enjoyed a large American-style Cayambe breakfast with biscochos, dulce de leche, and blackberry smoothies.
